Red Chamber Gatekeeper Lao Dong

[Feel-Good Story] [Decisive and Ruthless] [No Need to Nitpick or Read Between the Lines] [A Xuan De and Zhao Lie Story] [Su Mengzhen, My God!]

Old Dong's name was Dong Tianbao. It was just pronounced the same as the Dong Tianbao in that movie. He wasn't as skilled at martial arts, but he'd spent his early years roaming the jianghu and learned a few tricks. He was a tough customer, too. Otherwise, how could Mr. Lai, the Cash King of Zhongzuo City's business district, have hired him at a high salary to guard the gates of his Honglou? Mr. Lai valued both his jianghu experience and his fighting skills. But before Dong had even settled into the well-paid job, Mr. Lai skipped town, and Dong was unlucky enough to lose his life along with him. Then he transmigrated through time and took over the body of a servant in a wealthy household in Shijing, the capital of the Great Shun Dynasty. This man was also named Dong Tianbao, was around forty, just as old as Dong had been before he transmigrated, and even had the same job: gatekeeper. After he'd adjusted to his new life, he learned that he'd transmigrated into the world of the novel Dream of the Red Chamber and become the gatekeeper at the Rongguo Mansion's back gate. He nearly burst into tears. How could he die, transmigrate, and still end up watching a gate? Hadn't he transmigrated for nothing? Just as he was about to make a name for himself and quit this lousy post, he discovered there was more to guarding the back gate than met the eye! To find out what, head to the main story!
