Urban Esper: Li Ming's Road to Rising

The day Li Ming was laid off, he touched his former boss's old phone and saw a memory of a deleted contract.

From that day on, he discovered he could see the "lingering obsessions" inside old objects. Repairing an old phone let him expose a scammer; fixing an antique clock helped him find counterfeit banknotes; restoring a property deed revealed a yin-yang contract; and repairing a voice recorder let him hear what happened at the Ruins of Return ten years ago.

He opened a restoration shop on Old Goods Street, hoping to make a living with his skills. Instead, shady brokers, antique dealers, and demolition crews came knocking one after another.

Then the hands of the old watch his mother left behind began turning by themselves. Half a photograph fell from beneath its cover, with four words written on the back: Seventh Node.

Only then did Li Ming realize that his father's disappearance had not been an accident. Beneath the entire city lay nine anomalous old-object nodes, all beginning to stir.

Others restore old objects with skill. He restores them by seeing their memories.

This time, he will repair, one by one, everything that was taken away.
