Reborn as the Legitimate Son, I Awaken a Lost Ancient Bloodline

In his previous life, Lin Yuan, the legitimate son of the Lin family, was killed when his half-cousin Lin Ao conspired with the trusted steward Zhao Quan, the Great Elder, and a hidden demonic cultivator to rip out his bones and drain his blood and essence. Reborn on the day of the blood-drawing ritual, he keeps pretending to be a good-for-nothing while secretly exposing Zhao Quan and driving a wedge between Lin Ao and the Great Elder. In the chaos, he swallows a marrow-cleansing pill and awakens an ancient bloodline deep within his soul. He pretends to be gravely wounded and is locked in the dungeon, but uses memories from his previous life to dig a secret passage and obtain his father's keepsakes: a fragment of the Nine Revolutions Chaos Art and a dragon-patterned jade pendant. He secretly breaks through his limits with the family's spiritual spring, turning his good-for-nothing persona into a tool to manipulate events. At the ancestral rites, he summons an astonishing omen and humiliates Lin Ao in front of everyone. Through a series of schemes involving the spiritual spring, the account books, and blood infant powder, he brings down Zhao Quan and drives Lin Ao out. After joining forces with his third uncle to reshape the family, he heads to the Tianxuan Sect.

In Volume Two, after entering the sect, he avoids mindless face-slapping and instead uses his information advantage and formation techniques to outwit his opponents. He keeps a low profile among the outer disciples, forms an alliance in the medicinal garden with the fallen Elder Fang, and lays formations in advance in a secret realm to seize spiritual marrow and uncover a stone chamber containing a Foundation Establishment pill recipe. After establishing his foundation, he wins the sect tournament against the odds. Once in the inner sect, he allies with Elder Han of the Discipline Hall and investigates the dark dealings of Elder Zhou, who has been embezzling funds, colluding with demonic cultivators, and sacrificing disciples with bloodlines.

In Volume Three, following the trail to the Northern Wilderness Demonic Abyss, Lin Yuan rescues bloodline cultivators who were abducted. He learns that Elder Fang is actually his father's senior fellow disciple. He blows up the altar and draws on subterranean fire to severely wound the Yin Fiend Old Devil and Zheng Xiao. He discovers that the mastermind is the Netherworld Old Ancestor. To turn the tide, he detonates thirty percent of his bloodline, gravely wounds the enemy, and seals him inside the East Sea seal. His cultivation falls, but with the help of his father's Wavebreaker and the False Core of the Mysterious Mechanism Adept, he forms a Golden Core and reinforces the seal.

In Volume Four, he heads to the Central Province's Heavenly Secrets Pavilion to deliver a warning. An investigation into the Treasure House's money-laundering operation implicates the provincial governor and the Otherworldly Devouring Heaven Old Ancestor. He competes for the Five Elements Origins, obtaining earth from the Thick Earth Sect and wood from the Myriad Wood Forest. The Nine Revolutions Chaos Art reaches completion, and in the end, he uses a false breach of the seal to lure the Devouring Heaven...
