Startrail Thief

In a world where the stars govern fate, every turn of the celestial paths affects the rise and fall of humankind. The Star Thieves, who can steal the power of those paths, stand above all others. Lin Ye, a Starblind born unable to see them, is cast aside as a good-for-nothing by his family of astrologers.

After wandering the streets, he accidentally swallows a meteorite fragment and awakens an unprecedented power: he can ignore the laws of the celestial paths and devour the very essence of the stars. From then on, he is no longer an ant for others to trample, but an anomaly capable of devouring the starry sky.

The Star Thieves' organization sees him as a thorn in its side, while the Astrologers' Guild names him its most wanted criminal. As he flees, Lin Ye devours one star after another, and his strength grows at an astonishing rate. But this also throws the corresponding celestial paths into chaos, bringing disaster to the mortal world: mountains crumble, rivers split, and countless lives are lost.

At last, when he uncovers the truth, he discovers that the stars were not gifts from heaven. They are World Anchors set in place by ancient mighty beings to sustain the entire world. And he is the Restart Key they left behind, destined to devour every star and then use himself as the core to reshape the celestial paths.

Will he keep devouring and become a world-ending calamity? Or sacrifice himself and become an eternal starry sky?

When the final star enters his body, Lin Ye stands at the edge of the world and gazes at the heavens on the verge of collapse. He says softly, "If the starry sky is destined to go dark, then I will become the new starry sky."

An Eastern fantasy epic of devouring, redemption, and sacrifice, telling the legend of a boy cast aside by the world who ultimately offers himself as a sacrifice to reignite the galaxy.
