My Jade Token Hides an Immortal Fate, Even Though I'm Just a Menial Waiter

Shen Yan was the legitimate son of the Shen family of Linxian City. When he was born, auspicious multicolored clouds appeared, drawing the sect master of the Xuanchan Sect to visit in person. The master declared that Shen Yan was blessed with great fortune and would have to endure a trial in the mortal world, then left him a Xuanchan Jade Token as proof.

When the secret of his fortunate destiny leaked, a branch of the Shadow-Eater Path was hired to slaughter the entire Shen family. At the critical moment, the token concealed his fortune and vital energy, helping him escape death.

After eight years in hiding, the once-noble young master has become a tavern servant.

On a stormy day, Xu Qingyuan, a disciple of the Xuanchan Sect, is investigating an attack on another branch of the Shadow-Eater Path when she is badly wounded and collapses outside the tavern.

The spiritual energy of the same origin that escapes from her awakens the token, dormant for eight years.

His path to immortality begins, as old grudges and new dangers close in one after another. The fate the young man has kept in abeyance for years now begins to turn.
