The Seventh Blackout

At 2:17 a.m., the power suddenly went out in Linchao City.

Forty-three seconds later, the lights came back on, but Cheng Shu discovered that his younger sister was gone.

There was no trace of her in the chat logs or family photos. Even his own mother looked at him in confusion and asked, “Where did you get a sister?”

But Cheng Shu clearly remembered that his sister had messaged him just before the blackout.

He began searching, only to find that every piece of evidence pointed to the same absurd answer: Cheng Li had never existed in this world.

Then he met an old man.

Three months earlier, the old man had also lost a loved one whom nobody remembered.

As Cheng Shu dug deeper, he discovered that Linchao City had suffered six similar blackouts. After each plunge into darkness, it seemed someone was forgotten by the entire world.

Now, an eighth blackout was quietly drawing near.

If one day everyone forgot you, how would you prove that you had ever existed?
