You Were Supposed to Make a Little Money and Keep the Factory Running, but You Became a Tech Tycoon?

Zhang Tianzhi was reborn in 1982 and, in an emergency, became the director of Rhine Machinery Plant.

He looked at warehouses full of pressure cookers and gas cylinders.

On top of that, a crowd of employees had blocked his office door, demanding their wages.

Zhang Tianzhi was completely "burned up" with worry!

But worried or not, he still had work to do.

He secured an exhibition space from his superiors.

On opening day, he put on a red vest emblazoned with the slogan, "Military-grade toughness. One pot for three generations. It outlasts its owner," and hung up all sorts of banners.

He used an unconventional approach to draw attention to his exhibition space.

Foreign visitors who loved a spectacle streamed in to take a look.

Meher Dalai, whose slogan was "A piece of cloth on my head, and I'm the richest in the world," was drawn in, too.

Who would have thought these little pressure cookers and gas cylinders could become deadly weapons on the battlefield?

Buy them!

Charge it straight to the card!

Who do you think you're looking down on?

After the exhibition ended, Rhine Machinery Plant embarked on a different path.

It began using military-grade standards to make consumer products.

When "Made in Yan Country" products of military-grade quality flooded the globe, all the major powers were left stunned.

Price? They couldn't compete.

Quality? They couldn't compete!

After-sales service? They couldn't compete!

The Mushroom Country and Soviet Country: "Is this how cutthroat the competition has gotten? You're playing dirty!"

Zhang Tianzhi: "Got you burning up with worry?"
