Lost in the North

The Dayan Dynasty has stood for three hundred years, but imperial authority has waned, and the military governors of the Nine Frontiers have amassed armies of their own. To the north lies the steppe empire of Beiman, to the south the Baiyue, to the west a Buddhist kingdom, and to the east pirates plague the seas.

The jianghu and the imperial court are inseparable: great clans use trade routes to support martial sects, while sects trade blades for official posts.

There is a book called the Record of Arms, which records blades and swords, famed generals, and death soldiers, but not the human heart.
