Honghuang: The Thirteenth Golden Immortal, I Have Proven the Dao Through Bloodshed

After transmigrating into the primordial world, Gu Changsheng is revealed to be a drop of chaotic battle blood from Pangu’s heart, with the companion treasure, the Pure World White Lotus Seed, rooted in his sea of consciousness. By devouring the baleful blood and vengeful thoughts of the myriad heavens, he can strip away karmic burdens and transform them into the purest innate source blood and Jade Void clarity.

Knowing how perilous the primordial tribulations are, Gu Changsheng devours baleful energy with his own body at Buzhou Mountain and helps Yuanshi Tianzun obtain a treasure. With humble manners as gentle as a spring rain and the bloodline of the Pangu Orthodox Lineage, he earns an exceptional place in the Jade Void Palace and joins the Twelve Golden Immortals!

At first, Taiyi, Juliusun, and the others regard him as a stain on the Chan Sect and are ashamed to associate with him.

That is, until the Kunlun martial trials, where Gu Changsheng turns a sea of blood to dust in a white robe and withstands an Innate Spiritual Treasure with his bare body, subduing all the immortals through sheer strength. On the Witch-Demon Battlefield, the Twelve Golden Immortals are countered by baleful energy and brought to the brink of death. Once again, he strides through the blood and slaughters several great shamans alone. From then on, Guangchengzi yields his place, and Gu Changsheng takes his seat as the Jade Void’s senior disciple!

Others see the tribulations as nightmares, but Gu Changsheng sees them as a sumptuous feast!

He enters the netherworld and uses innate source blood to suppress Ancestor Minghe, seizing the orthodox lineage of the Blood Dao. When the Witch-Demon era comes to an end, he devours the baleful resentment of the heavens and earth, refining it into a Primordial Dao Fruit. When the Investiture of the Gods tribulation begins, and the Three Pure Ones face division and the Western Teachings scheme against them, Gu Changsheng fiercely protects his own. With a wave of his hand, he absorbs the Twelve Golden Immortals’ worldly killing tribulations, holds the Jie Sect close on one side and protects his fellow disciples in the Jade Void on the other, then leads the Eastern sects to storm Mount Sumeru!

“I am Qingyuan of the Jade Void, and I value etiquette above all. Fellow Daoists of the Western Teachings, do come inside my blood banner for a chat.”
