Sunflowers and Grains of Sand

Jiang Yan spent twelve years dismantling scrap metal in Ash City and used his ability only once.

That time, he sealed a grain of sand inside his younger sister's arm. Only later did he learn that the grain of sand was the world's only cure.

One sibling can make anything solid; the other can dissolve anything. Hunted by the five great nations, watched by the Faceless, and swept along by the tide of an entire era.

Everyone thought they were weapons. Only Jiang Yan remembered his sister saying, "Water the plants for me."

"The solution to the world has never been in any one person's hands. But every person is part of the answer."
