You Call Him a High Schooler? He's Using Immortal Arts to Make Chips

In Changyuan Town, Lanxi County, South Province, Lin Yan, a second-year high school student from a tea-farming family, was struck by a midsummer thunderbolt. He didn't die, but a memory that had slumbered for tens of thousands of years appeared in his mind: the remnant soul of an ancient powerhouse who had reincarnated fused completely with him, and they became one person.

He had no desire to cultivate immortality or live forever, nor did he plan to build an industry in another world. Lin Yan did just one thing: sitting beneath the old camphor tree on the slope by his home, he took the alchemy, formations, talismans, and artifact crafting brought by this "remnant soul of an Immortal Lord," dismantled them, and fed them to modern science, one by one.

The result sent everything completely off course...

While the rest of the world was tearing its hair out over chip shortages, a high school student used specialized ceramics from Dehua, the old porcelain capital, as a substrate, then "handcrafted" a chip at the microscopic scale with his spiritual sense, inscribed with the Eight Trigrams formation of Fuxi. No lithography machine, no EUV, just a pot of Tieguanyin steeped three times and a pair of hands steadier than any machine.

Foreign giants couldn't make sense of the energy circuits on it. They never dreamed that those intricate patterns were the most unassuming yin-yang Eight Trigrams of ancient China.

And so the "Kunlun" chip debuted, the "Pangu" operating System launched, and the "Cangjie" language went open source. When English was no longer a required subject, and software stores were filled entirely with domestic ecosystems, the world finally realized, belatedly:

Sanctions could never stop a people who knew how to use immortal arts to conduct scientific research.

And amid the fragrance of tea in Citong City, Lin Yan was still the boy who'd been struck by lightning on his way home from school. Everyone in town knew how to brew tea.
