Captured by My Mortal Enemy, I’m Having the Worst Time of My Life

[Female-Led] [Firearms, Swords, and Magic] [Both Leads Are Each Other's Only One]

On the continent of Tatinok, war has raged for a thousand years. The Holy Empire of humanity and the Vine-Spirit Empire of the demons are the two most powerful forces in this troubled era, and their hatred and conflict have never ceased.

In 1796 of the Aoxin Era, the Holy Empire's youngest space-magic warrior, Kleit Viska, receives a top-secret mission: lead an elite squad deep into enemy territory and assassinate the heir to the Vine-Spirit Empire, Grand Princess Tang Beixuan Glilie.

It should have been an impeccable decapitation strike, one capable of changing the course of the war. But when they slipped into the command tent, they found an empty camp, with gunfire and torches all around them.

Kleit fights his way out, unaware that every move he makes has already fallen into a vast web woven from silver hair and vines. The one hunting him is none other than the Vine-Spirit Grand Princess, famed for her strength and coldness. During their pursuit through the forest, Tang Beixuan does not rush to kill him. Instead, in a casual tone, she slowly unearths his buried past: the academy, the girl named Mobeika Xuan'er, and the passionate, secret love he thought had been sealed away forever.

It turns out that their sweet encounter was a carefully planned trap from the very beginning. He gave her his heart, only to hand the enemy their most lethal weapon.

When a halberd shatters the barrier between spaces and Kleit collapses in pain and fury, a pair of cold, strong arms catches him. Tang Beixuan lowers her eyes to the former lover in her arms, now her sworn enemy, and whispers in a voice only the two of them can hear:

"Welcome home, Kleit."
