Reborn in 1979: Starting with Fishing and Hunting

[Period piece, slow-paced, focused on developing the hometown. If that's not your thing, don't read or complain.] Zhang Shi'an returns to Baitai Village in the Minshan foothills of Shu in 1979. The mountains are high and the roads treacherous. A single narrow path along a cliff is the only way out, and the villagers, though surrounded by mountains, can barely get by on a few thin fields and whatever they can hunt.

In this new life, his father is still alive, his grandfather is still well, and the floods and mudslides have yet to come.

This time, Zhang Shi'an decides to sling on his hunting bow, bring his hunting dog and big-mouthed crow, and head into the mountains with his brothers to hunt, and down to the river to fish. He'll start by making sure his family gets a full meal, then change their lives.

Wild animals, mushrooms, medicinal herbs, mountain delicacies... From hunting and fishing in the mountains and forests to developing local products, from building a road through the cliffs to improving their hometown.

Zhang Shi'an works hard, making a living off the land, determined to turn the little mountain village into a happy, thriving place.
