Only You Are My Green Mountain, 1958

In the 1960s, she was married off to a distant home in an arranged exchange. The times dealt her a cruel hand, and fate was unfair. On top of that, she faced a host of family struggles, including tensions with her mother-in-law and clashing views on raising children. Though illiterate, she was strong-willed and unyielding. She made jam from wild fruits to support her family, held fast to her principles through hardship, and nurtured her children's hopes.

Her husband had lofty ambitions, but his wings had been clipped. Time and again, fate let his chances slip away, yet she never changed: day after day, she stayed by his side and gave all she could. The story of three generations unfolds in a small courtyard, where changing times and shifting hearts quietly take root.

A gentle young man with great ambitions misses out on his dreams, while a sharp-eyed woman who cannot read becomes not only his hope, but the light of his life and their family's.
