Siheyuan: The Projectionist's Happy Life

When he opens his eyes, he's become Xu Damao, the movie projectionist everyone loves to hate in Love in the Courtyard. He looks at the sharp, shrewd face in the mirror, then remembers the original story's miserable ending: abandoned by everyone and alone in old age. Xu Damao immediately decides to refuse to wear himself out over other people. The First Master’s moral blackmail? Silly Zhu's fists? The Jia family's bottomless appetite for handouts? Sorry, times have changed. As the most sought-after projectionist around, he has endless local specialties coming in from his trips to the countryside with one hand, and the latest inside information from the steel mill in the other. Xu Damao lifts his tea mug and looks at the scheming "beasts" in the courtyard. "I didn't have a choice before. Now I just want to keep a low profile, get rich, and, while I'm at it, set this courtyard straight once and for all."
