A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality: Spirit-Appraising System Vs. Heaven-Palm Bottle

[A Mortal's Journey to Immortality fan fiction, with the original plot faithfully preserved and especially smart characters.]

Ye Jing, a fan of A Mortal's Journey to Immortality, was killing time at his pawnshop job when he somehow transmigrated while rereading the novel for the fifth time.

After his clan uncle tried to possess him, he transmigrated into the body of a collateral branch member of the Ye family, a royal clan in Great Jin.

Then, after the would-be possessor died in his attempt to take over Ye Jing's body, Ye Jing awakened the "Spirit Appraisal" System.

From the start, he faced investigations by the main branch and law enforcers, as well as threats from the dead man's accomplices.

He had no choice but to turn the traps left behind by the would-be possessor to his advantage, place in the top ten of the clan's competition, and claim a secret treasure from the inner vault.

After killing the accomplice who had tried to possess him, he headed to the Yue Kingdom in the Heavenly South, drawn by the promise of a great treasure.

He is twenty years old, at the seventh level of Qi Refining, and Han Li has just joined Yellow Maple Valley.

More than two hundred years later, Han Li will come to Great Jin at the Nascent Soul stage, and the Ye family will be wiped out after the battle at Kunwu Mountain.

Familiar with the plot, he takes advantage of it to make plans and escape the Ye family's doomed fate.

He has never thought of groveling before the protagonist. They meet without recognizing each other, exchanging only a calm nod.

He walks among dangers, searching for opportunities of his own.

He treads carefully along the path to survival, becoming the most mysterious figure beyond time and space.

Looking back on his life, Han Li always has the vague feeling that someone is ahead of him on his path.

They gaze at each other from afar, yet can never draw near!

That person doesn't have the Heaven Palm Bottle, so how can he be walking ahead of Han Li?
