The World Memory Preservation Project

If humanity were on the verge of extinction, what would you leave behind? In 2095, an archivist discovered a hard drive beneath the sea. It contained a complete record: In 2026, in the Black Sea, a sailor aboard a sinking warship sent his mother a message that never went through. In 2032, nuclear war broke out. In eighty minutes, humanity was nearly sent back to the Stone Age. In 2060, two million people set out from Europe, walking ten thousand kilometers east. Fewer than two hundred thousand arrived alive. In 2072, a satellite lifted off from Jiuquan, China, sending a signal to a world that had already died. A sailor, a schoolteacher, a priest, a receptionist, an archivist. They weren't heroes. They just didn't want the world to forget who we were, whom we loved, or why we refused to give up. This is an archive excavated from the ruins. It's about a vanished world. And about those who chose to keep living after everything had been destroyed. Open it, and remember.
