Three Kingdoms: I Mistakenly Took Lü Bu as My Adoptive Father from the Start

After transmigrating to the end of the Han dynasty, Zhao Yi waited half a year for his godfather, hoping to board the ship of Great Wei as soon as possible. One day, Lü Bu arrived, and Zhao Yi dropped to his knees without a second thought. “If you do not despise me, my lord, I would be honored to take you as my godfather! No, no, no... Godfather, please accept three bows from Wencheng.” “My son, I have observed that Marquis Wen is a hero among men. Why don’t we join him?” “No, no, no, Godfather. Lü Bu has no future. Listen to me, let’s join Cao Cao and keep our heads down!” “My son, the Chancellor wants to take Xuzhou. Do you have a good way to do it without losing troops?” “I do have a plan, but it’s a little cruel!” Zhao Yi glanced at Lü Lingqi beside him and hesitated. Lü Bu’s heart suddenly clenched. He set down his wine bowl and watched Zhao Yi anxiously. “What plan? Tell me at once!” “Flood Xuzhou!” It was only after the battle of Xiapi ended that Zhao Yi sadly realized his godfather had become utterly devoted to Lü Bu. Lü Bu had taken all of Zhao Yi’s brilliant schemes and inventions. Meanwhile, the Chancellor he had been longing to serve was running away with his tail between his legs. “Hahaha, my son, you never saw it coming, did you? Your father is Lü Bu, the hero among men!” Zhao Yi wept, tilting his head forty-five degrees toward the sky. Godfather, what are you so pleased about? Next year, we’ll both be hanging at White Gate Tower.
