Mountains and Rivers Forever

The country of Jiashen was transformed, and the land of China was destroyed. On the night when the city of Nanjing was destroyed, the royal family's top-secret back-up plan was activated: twelve treasure ships followed Zheng He's old map and sailed to the end of the world in twelve terrestrial branches. They were called "rescuing soldiers" and were actually used to preserve the fire of China. Fleeing in the north, hiding in the south, crossing to the east, and falling in the west, four people from different generations of the clan fled in a hurry, each guarding a family heirloom; carrying a picture, a needle, and an oath, the twelve fleets broke into America, arrived in Europe, crossed Persia, crossed the sky, and entered Africa. They witnessed the ebb and flow of the Age of Discovery and witnessed the changes in the world over the past three hundred years. Except for the Nanyin branch who stayed in their homeland, the other fifteen groups all took root in foreign lands and never returned. A home I can't return to, a country I can't forget. Clothes can be changed, but bloodlines cannot be broken; words can be changed, but original intentions remain the same. In the past three hundred years, every time China was in danger, the Sixteenth Line, overtly or covertly, did their best. This book is composed of sixteen parts, chronicling events, spanning three hundred years after the Ming Dynasty, and connecting the history of China, the history of the world, and the fate of sixteen families. What you are loyal to is China, not one surname; what you keep is the cultural context, not one surname. The country can be destroyed, but the history cannot be cut off; the body can be far away, but the pulse cannot be cut off.
