Soul Crossing Twins

The story is based on the modern city-Linjiang City. This is a southern waterside city where the old and the new blend. Bustling business districts, high-end private psychological clinics, and modern tertiary-level hospitals are intertwined with old urban villages, century-old clan ancestral halls, and hidden old alleys. On the surface of the city is a modern civilization with perfect rule of law and fast pace, but at the bottom there are old clan customs passed down from generation to generation, unknown old secrets and wronged souls. The modern criminal investigation system can detect legal cases, but it cannot touch the truth of the death without corroboration, evidence destroyed, and artificially buried; psychological medicine can cure the obsessions and inner demons of the living, but it cannot appease the lingering resentment and unwillingness of the dead. The protagonist is in two extreme circles: during the day, he is a psychiatrist who heals the living and dismantles the darkness of the human heart, and at night, he is a body restorer who repairs the remains and makes the deceased humane. His two professions allowed him to wander between the spiritual prison of the living and the silent abyss of the dead. An ancient temple of the Li family that has been abandoned for hundreds of years on the edge of the city is the rift between the old and new worlds, the balance point between the yin and yang worlds, and the starting point of the protagonist's destiny. Secret murders, human crimes, and old injustice cases that cannot be solved by modern technology will be traced back to their origins and the truth revealed through the protagonist's past life.
