【The inspiration for this fan novel is the question: What would happen to the world of Hokage if Minato had survived? So the story will not focus solely on Minato. Rather, it explores how the world of Hokage might unfold if he had lived.】 “What Dad wants to say is just like what your nagging mom always says...” Looking at the baby in front of him and his dying wife in his arms, Minato’s eyes gradually grew desolate. “Have I been a good father...?” “I failed to protect my son, I failed to protect my wife, and I failed to protect my student...” “Looking back... my life...” “Has been nothing but failure...” After completing the final seal, Minato and Kushina collapsed before Naruto, who was crying softly. “Minato Namikaze, is that right?” Minato stared at the old man floating in the air before him, tensely raising the kunai in his hand. “The Rinnegan...” “Don’t be nervous. I am Hagoromo Otsutsuki, though you may also call me the ‘Sage of Six Paths.’” “Six Paths...!” “Your son, Naruto Uzumaki, is the reincarnation of Asura, my son.” “I cannot bear to see him left alone from the moment he is born, so I will send your soul and Kushina’s back to the living world.” “This time, make sure you protect them, Yellow Flash of Konoha.”
