Bored, So I’ll Drink Tea and Become an Immortal

I am a stranger in a foreign land, and took up cultivation just to pass the time. Shen Ming has spent twenty years studying the Dao of tea. Now his master has asked him to carry the famous tea Longtuan from remote Yunzhou in the southern frontier to the capital. Along the way, he must witness the prosperous age of the Great Jing Dynasty, experience the many sides of human life, encounter monsters and demons, pass on the art of tea to all, and complete his final stage of cultivation. He travels across the Nine Provinces and discovers that this so-called golden age, with its fame, wealth, nobles, generals, immortality, and cultivation, is all just a passing cloud. Better to brew a light cup of tea and steal half a day of leisure from a busy life. That beats being an immortal.
