We Agreed to Work as Cleaners Together, So How Did You Become the CEO?

Kang Fanxi, a graduate of a prestigious university, is a star cleaner at a major corporation.

Every day, she pushes her cleaning cart through the floors, becoming the company's shrewdest freebie hunter.

Free afternoon tea? She eats her fill!

Imported snacks? She takes them!

Custom fruit platters? She packs them up!

Then, in the break room, she runs into a young man just as sneaky as she is, scavenging for loot.

He's wearing an ill-fitting cleaner's uniform and trying to stuff a box of limited-edition cigars into a canvas bag.

Their eyes meet. Kang Fanxi's face lights up. “Hey, rookie! Don't panic. Stick with me, and tomorrow I'll show you how to turn the tables and squeeze the capitalists!”

Jiang Yuzheng raises an eyebrow at the cleaner who's dragging him into crime.

And so, behind the scenes, the company gains a pair of hidden masterminds.

By day, they slack off in the restrooms and scheme together about how to wring every last perk out of the company.

At night, they sit in the stairwell eating instant noodles, bonding over how to get rich without working hard.

But at the company annual meeting, the executives escort onto the stage the legendary young boss, worth hundreds of billions, iron-fisted, and never seen in public.

That elegant, distinguished face is exactly the same as the man who wore a cleaner's uniform yesterday and squatted with her in the stairwell to share buns...

The cherries in Kang Fanxi's hand drop to the floor with a splat.

Onstage, Jiang Yuzheng looks at her from afar, smiling as he silently mouths, “Partner, should we call it quits?”
