One-Punch Man: Starting Out as King's Disciple

During a disaster, Mu Rongxi’s soul merged with that of a notorious witch, binding their lives together. This gave him the strength of a Dragon-level disaster, but he was an ordinary person. To use his powers, he had to summon the witch, which would expose his identity. He could only live in seclusion and stay out of public view. But his peaceful days didn’t last. The Monster Association, which wanted to wipe out all of humanity, learned his identity and greatly feared the power he possessed. If he refused to join the Monster Association, they would keep sending people to hunt him down. Even if they couldn’t kill him, they could still expose who he was. By chance, he learned that the Hero Association was short on people and was even recruiting heroes from prison. As long as he became an official hero, he would gain hero status. No matter who he had been before, society would accept him like anyone else. To grow stronger, he sought out King, known as the strongest man in humanity, and became his disciple. But King’s identity as the strongest man was fake. He was just an ordinary person. Though he had no real strength, he did have connections, so King repeatedly sent Mu Rongxi to learn from other experts. Because of King’s status, no one dared refuse, and they taught Mu Rongxi everything they knew. And so, the new S-Class hero, King’s strongest disciple, Mu Rongxi, made his debut! ［The original story has been rearranged to unfold in a new structure, and some plotlines have been expanded to give minor characters a chance to appear.
