Qiao runs takeaways during the day and does odd jobs at night. His income barely covers the weekly rent and bread and milk. As winter approaches, Leah has recurring asthma attacks and has no money to seek medical treatment. Joe's back injury worsened to the point of near paralysis, and his takeaway income plummeted. The hotel rent has increased again, and the father and daughter will have nowhere to go. Qiao finally stood at the busiest intersection in the city - as if he saw a killing line under his feet,
