The Kindaichi Incident: Murderous Intent in the Echo Hall

Thirty-two-year-old Kindaichi works as an editor in Tokyo, and has been turned into a silent beast by life. Until Hayami Reika's phone call - "I don't think it's safe there" - led him to the "Echo Pavilion" deep in the mountains of Gunma. Deaf composer Kyouichi Kiryu held a "Silent Concert" here: speaking was prohibited, only writing and gestures could be used to communicate. The eight participants discovered that the building itself was a precision instrument—the dome concentrated and amplified the faintest sounds, and underground passages connected each soundproofed room. On the first night, music critic Ryosuke Hiiragi died in the piano room with piano strings wrapped around his neck. The typhoon closed the mountain and eight people were trapped. Kindaichi discovered that the murderer Mamiya Ken was a manipulated "knife". The one who really controls the situation is the magician Gao Yuanyi who sneaks in disguised as a sign language interpreter - he escapes by feigning death to push the situation forward, and uses infrasound waves to invisibly kill people through building structures. But Gao Yuan's "magic" is only superficial. The deeper truth is: Kiryu Kyouichi is not a simple victim. Twelve years ago, he investigated the cause of death of his sister Kiryu Shizu, joined a criminal organization, and the Echo Hall became a money laundering tool. The real purpose of this concert was to use Mamiya's hand to silence him and then use fire to destroy the evidence. Takato saw through everything earlier than Kiryu and used this "trial" to turn into his own magic show. After Kiryu realized that he was being used, he lit Mamiya who had poured accelerant on fire, and the fire engulfed the Echo Pavilion. Kindaichi rushed into the fire and dragged Kiryu out - Kiryu survived, but suffered severe burns all over his body, but Mamiya died under the dome. Gao Yuan took advantage of the chaos and escaped.
