Crazy Buddha Passes Away

If the world is a huge madhouse, you will be the most sane madman for the rest of your life. He had eaten poison handed to him by his mother, had his heart gouged out by his beloved in exchange for money, and had his eyes burned with quicklime by his sworn brothers. He has tasted all kinds of suffering in the world and seen through the thousands of faces of human nature beneath the skin. When his fingers were cut off, his legs were broken, and he was thrown into the mud to die, he did not cry. Instead, he burst into a weird laugh in the thunderstorm night. "It hurts, it really hurts... But if it doesn't hurt, how do you know you're still alive?" From that day on, there was one less wretch in the world and one more mad god walking around in the world. He said: "The suffering in this world is a big book. I have tasted it word by word, so - I became a Buddha and a demon." Psychological thriller/crazy protagonist/anatomy of human nature
