Ember Oracle: Starting with the Plague City Shaman

The Ash Plague breaks out in Gray Reef City. The more devout you pray, the faster you die. When dawn comes, the Holy Court Fleet will burn the entire city with holy fire. Wayne, the trainee priest who had been dead for three days, reopened his eyes in the morgue. What woke up with him was an unnamed sacred book that had only six pages sleeping deep in his consciousness. In the process of treating patients, Wayne gradually sees the truth behind the plague: prayers to cure diseases are spreading the plague, miracles to save people are reaping true names, and the gods enshrined in the Holy Court seem to have never really left. But when he used the Holy Scriptures to dismantle the oracle, he discovered an even more fatal problem: The original manuscript of this tampered oracle seems to have been written by him.
