At the Start of Term, My Childhood Friend Exposed My Identity as a Soldier King

After transmigrating to a parallel world, Gu Yan chooses to enlist during his freshman year of college, fulfilling his dream from his previous life of becoming a soldier.

Three years later.

After earning countless commendations, he retires from the military and returns to college, while also taking an honorary position as an advisor to the special police unit at the local police station.

The parallel world's public security is poor, with violent criminals running rampant.

Gu Yan decides to play the part of a violent criminal and give the local police a little shock from the perspective of a "violent criminal."

So he pulls a stocking over his head, grabs a toy gun, and storms into the biggest bank in town. The whole thing takes less than five minutes. By the time the police arrive, he's long since made his escape.

That scene

happens to be livestreamed by a beauty streamer with a million followers.

My name is Lin Muyao. I'm a freshman at Sichuan University, and my best friend is a sweet, innocent-looking streamer who's somewhat famous on Douyin.

I was bored waiting for my turn while taking care of some business at the bank today, so I started a livestream and chatted with my viewers.

I never imagined I'd run into a vicious bank robber.

When I saw the robber in action, I was so scared I nearly fainted.

Thankfully, the robber only took money and didn't hurt anyone, so I barely managed to escape with my life.

Shaken to the core, I made it back to campus and spotted my childhood neighbor, who'd come to take me to register.

I was about to rush into his arms and beg for kisses and comfort. I came to Sichuan University for his sake, after all.

Wait!

Why does my childhood friend, who's been by my side since we were kids, look so much like the robber?

Oh no! Everything's gone wrong!
