My name is Lin Fan. I'm nineteen, a school dropout, unemployed, and living in a tiny ten-square-meter rental. That day, I was lounging around watching anime and lamenting how the protagonists always had someone from the future come back to save them. Then, the next second, the wall disappeared. A truck crashed into the third floor and killed me on the spot. When I opened my eyes again, I had transmigrated. By rights, this should have been where the System, a status panel, or some old-timer showed up, and I started climbing to the top of the world. But when I looked down, my hands were transparent. I had no legs, no body. There was a System panel, at least. It read: Status: About to dissipate. Remaining lifespan: 57 seconds. Evaluation: Worse than a stray dog by the roadside.
