Spiritual energy is the waste product of rules. Follow the rules, and the rules feed you. Make someone else break them, and the rules devour that person while you feed on the rules. The stronger the rules, the more readily they devour people. Rulekeepers, rulebreakers, rule-slayers: three paths, three ways to die. Everyone lives by the rules. Shen Wujiu is the only exception. He was born without rules. His name cannot be entered into the archives, ghosts cannot kill him, and rules cannot hold him captive. A City Rule user is an advanced Rulekeeper and a key combat force of the Bureau of Rules. · Nation Rules: Can kill everyone in a nation. Nation Rule users are the regional directors of the Bureau of Rules. · Heavenly Rules: Can kill everyone in a world. Only three are known to exist anywhere in the world. · Origin Rule: The root of all rules. There is only one, sealed away in B8. Cultivation Paths: · Rulekeeper: Follow a rule, and it feeds you power. · Rulebreaker: Make someone else break your rule, and absorb the remnants. · Rule-Slayer: Learn your opponent’s rule, kill them, and devour that rule.
