The Red Seal on an Unjust Case

Su Wan and her mother depended on each other. She lent Chen Yu, her boyfriend of many years, 300,000 yuan that her mother had saved over a lifetime for her retirement and medical expenses, trusting him completely and never suspecting a thing. When her mother suddenly became gravely ill and was rushed to the hospital, the surgery fees were urgently needed. Su Wan turned to Chen Yu to ask for the money back, and the gentle man she had loved instantly turned against her. While her mother was still groggy after surgery and unable to tell what was going on, Chen Yu tricked the old woman into signing a document he had prepared in advance. He pressed her finger into bright red ink and used her fingerprint to reverse the debt, claiming instead that she owed him money. The lifesaving funds never arrived in time. Her mother missed the best window for treatment and sadly passed away. In a single night, Su Wan lost her closest family member and found herself burdened with gossip and criticism from those around her. The immense grief did not break her. Su Wan taught herself the law, went from place to place gathering evidence, and stood up to Chen Yu's slander and obstruction. She was determined to expose the lies behind that red fingerprint and get justice for her mother. Confronting the real-world problems of loans between people who know each other and elderly people being manipulated into signing documents, the story explores family ties, trust, and the limits of human nature. It follows an ordinary woman as she finds strength in the wake of trauma and saves herself.
