In the thirteenth year of Jian'an, before the Battle of Red Cliffs began, dark blood from the depths of the future arrived first. It made the dead rise again, turned the living into tools, and began learning the military orders, roads, systems, and hearts of the people of the late Han dynasty. Three visitors from a later age awoke in their tombs with living gold. Li Dongsheng, inhabiting Dian Wei’s body, coordinated people, food, roads, and systems in the army camp. Wang Jianguo, bearing Guo Jia’s face, wielded a blade on the battlefield and trained the troops. Su Yulan, in the young body of Hua Tuo’s female disciple, saved lives and also personally burned down the dark blood strongholds. Their first task was to help this era survive. Who rules the realm could be decided later, once its people were still alive to ask.
