The Final Interview of Civilization

At three in the morning, the global night sky lit up all at once, and every screen displayed the same line: [Final Interview Notice for Human Civilization: T-15 Years]. Some people stockpiled canned food; others wrote their last letters. But Lin Xu, a doctoral student, received an exam paper bearing his name: You have been designated the representative of human civilization at its defense. He has fifteen years to make the civilization that set the questions take its own place in the dock. Until he turns over the exam paper and finds a row of names crossed out in red. The previous candidate died in Year 7.
