The Banner of Jiuzhou

A modern military history enthusiast transmigrates into the body of Shen Yan, a young military household member on the northern frontier of the Great Yan dynasty. His father dies after being framed, and Shen Yan is sent to the death camp. Using the “Mountain and River Chessboard” in his mind to strategize over battles and human nature, he starts out as one of a ten-man scouting party. He defends a lone city, reclaims the northern frontier, takes the Heluo region, and pacifies the nine provinces, ultimately turning the land itself into his game board as he claims the throne.
