The worlds of Yin and Yang have met in the gaps between modern city streets. The last subway train pulls into a platform that doesn’t exist, office elevators can descend to the eighteenth basement level, and black mist seeps through the cracks in the walls of rental homes in urban villages. Savage ghosts from the Yin Realm have found their way into the Yang Realm. Some people accidentally stumble into the Yin Realm, then crawl back into the Yang Realm covered in blood. As long as they survive, they can awaken. And so, a new breed of hunters has appeared in the city, risking their lives for a living: Yin-Yang Envoys. Jiang Xunfeng is one of them. But he’s a little different from the rest. He has a System in his head, with a simple interface that displays just three things: his cultivation level, his Yin energy capacity, and the ghostly abilities he possesses. But he can also see something else: the Yin energy capacity hovering over everyone’s head. For ordinary people, it’s usually zero. For ordinary people haunted by ghosts, the number ticks up a little. As long as the other person’s Yin energy capacity is lower than his, he can… suppress them. After suppressing them, he can choose to execute them. When he executes a ghost or another Yin-Yang Envoy, there’s a chance he’ll absorb all their Yin energy, though he might get nothing at all. There’s also a chance he’ll steal their exclusive ability.
