The Years That Remain

In Sui Mu City, every seasonal festival could claim a life. At first, people thought they could survive as long as they found the rules. Only later did they realize: The rules might be wrong. What seemed like experience might just be something that had worked once for someone. Maps, warnings, and messages left behind from the previous round could all lead those who came after into a dead end. Shen Xu has survived six rounds. This time, he begins learning not to make other people's choices for them. But he soon realizes he doesn't need to decide for anyone else at all. All he has to do is know what someone will choose and tell them part of the truth first. That alone is enough to make them arrive at the answer he calculated in advance.
