Beyond the Old Days, the New Sun Rises

The year 2100. Sin descended upon the world. Humanity thought it was a gift, but it was a trial. Sloth, greed, envy, wrath, lust, original sin: one by one, they purged humanity. The Earth Union and the Fire Union split apart, and humanity marched toward extinction amid infighting. Su Wenwu, an extraordinary man with ambition, rose toward a higher throne in a world gone mad. He proclaimed himself a god, founded the Hand of God, and ushered in a new dawn. He traveled through parallel shadows, enacting sin in other worlds as he climbed, step by step, to the Ninth Rank. He commanded probability, making things right with one hand and wrong with the other. He could have stopped, enjoying his power, status, and everything else. But he did not. In the final battle, fewer than one in ten Ninth-Rank beings survived, and the Eighth Rank was nearly wiped out. He won, becoming the sole surviving god, and the only human left. The world sang his praises, calling him humanity's pioneer. The God of Dawn in the darkness, the God of High Noon in suffering, the God of Night at the end of all things. Saint. Sin. Foolish Pride. But he did not stay to receive their worship. “I have no regrets, and I never stopped.” He pursued eternity, for humanity's eternal future, and for a better ending.
