The Primordial Spirit

He created light and took four disciples. Hongjun, Hun Kun, Nuwa, and Lu Ya. Four disciples, four origins, four paths. He taught them to coexist; they learned to oppose one another. He entered chaos and shattered a divine artifact into five pieces. He gave one to each of his four disciples and kept the blank piece for himself. Millions upon millions of years passed. Deep in the Ruins, the spirit of light waited. In a hunter's home in the human world, a baby had light in its palm. The lock remained. The key was scattered. He had not returned.
