Science Fair Animals: The Source of Power

Hardship taught me how to steal a little rest without facing a scene that seemed to invite deep contemplation alongside animals. I have gradually moved away from some far-flung places and begun searching for a place where I can survive. I want to find a way to work that lets me move freely among the big-character posters. Perhaps the cold, chaotic workbench makes me feel that this is no time to rest. I am facing something supernatural and can hardly come to my senses, yet I must carry on with my work. I am learning to understand myself and beginning to look ahead to the pressures of a period of calm. An unusual tale of passing through begins to stir up contradictions in the differences between the things I can understand for myself. There is striving, kindness, and an interval of heroic feeling with a school-like atmosphere. Over the course of these fifteen chapters, a high-tech journey shared by cats and mice unfolds in a bright new light. Even if they must risk life and limb, they will leave behind a wholly new animal culture. The Animal Science Exhibition: The Source of Power consists of three volumes and fifteen chapters. It draws on animal culture as a way to explore technology. These brief science-fiction tales offer a direct opportunity to learn about animals, as well as a chance to reconsider our understanding of them. The animals' straightforward sense of responsibility in using objects raises the question of whether this is a diverse field of technology worth exploring. It all depends on the animals taking their first step and returning to a life they love.
