How long does it take for a county to disappear from the world? On the eve of the Dragon Boat Festival in 2026, local literature researcher Zhou Yan embarked on the high-speed train back home. But Qingshan County can't be found on the map, and his parents' numbers are empty. Everyone insists that his hometown never existed.
