On the Brink

Told as a final confession, this is a moving story about someone who lived behind a mask on the edge of an abyss, spending his entire life saving the people he loved. Since childhood, he had known he was a thoroughly “bad” person, so he put on a perfect mask and played the flawless version of himself in front of others. He wore it for so long that he forgot where he came from and could no longer see the way home. At fifteen, his father’s betrayal gave him his first glimpse of the abyss and awakened a desire to die. After that, he fought desperately to save the people he loved: his mother, his older sister, and later, the woman he met... After spending his whole life saving others, was he ever saved himself? This is a story about abysses and glimmers of light, pain and hope.
