The Answer of a Lifetime

The protagonist was born in Linqing, Shandong, during the Republican era. After growing up, he joins General Zhang Zizhong in fighting the Japanese and saving the nation, taking part in the Battle of Linyi. Later, he secretly joins the Chinese Communist Party. During the Huaihai Campaign in the War of Liberation, he follows General Zhang Kexia and his troops in their uprising, becoming a member of the People's Liberation Army.
