Proofreading Horror: A World of Variant Texts

The world is a living ancient book, constantly being revised. Invisible editors wield red pens to rewrite reality and erase all living things. Shen Yan, a restorer of ancient books, can see hidden traces of revision. His colleagues vanish without explanation, and his memories keep slipping out of place. The first edition of himself appears in the mirror, while variant texts emerge from the cracks. There are no ghosts or monsters. The most terrifying possibility is that the life he is living now may be nothing more than a false draft, produced by yet another revision.
