Chasing the Moon Through the Capital's Night

After too many disappointments, all that remained was despair. Jiang Yue asked Huo Chendong for a divorce.

The man was busy working at his desk. He focused on reading the last page of a document before slowly looking up.

The fluorescent light fell across his sharp profile. His eyes were cool, and he made no attempt to stop her.

"Have you made up your mind?"

Jiang Yue nodded.

"Stop making a scene!" Huo Chendong set the document in his hand aside and picked up another from a thick stack. "I'm busy. I don't have time to coddle women."

Making a scene?

Less than a month after their wedding, he'd gone abroad. Three years had passed since they parted. Apart from the monthly living expenses he sent, he hadn't asked after her once. She couldn't even count on him when she was hospitalized after a car accident...

"I'm not making a scene. I really want a divorce."

"Fine." Huo Chendong briskly signed the divorce papers. His words were cold and final. "Once we're divorced, there's no going back. Hmph! Don't regret it."

To President Huo, his career was his life. He couldn't live without it.

Women... were optional.

Until one day, he saw Jiang Yue smiling brightly at another man, and he completely panicked.

At his ex-wife's wedding, in front of everyone, Huo Chendong went crazy and snatched the bride away. Jiang Yue slapped him. "We got divorced ages ago."

The usually aloof man had bloodshot eyes as he kissed her hard. "I... regret it."
