There Are Cracks in Everything

An ordinary accounts clerk once received an outdated distress signal meant for his deceased parents. While searching for a missing tavern keeper, he takes over a black-market tavern and gradually uncovers the links between weapons, monster materials, and disaster compensation. When he realizes he is becoming the return of a shared source behind the old powers, he must unite people who are enemies to one another and stop a disaster from being shifted onto a few sacrificial regions, all while holding on to his own will.
