I Serve as a Detective in the Ming Dynasty

Modern detective Wang Wenji transmigrates to the Ming Dynasty, becoming a judicial commissioner in Suzhou Prefecture during the Wanli era. He thought he had come to hear cases and pass judgment, but every case file he inherited was bizarre. Rumors misled the public, his colleagues shrank from the challenge, and the testimony was full of contradictions. Every murder was blamed on vengeful spirits and ghosts. Tales of ghosts and gods were nothing but a disguise murderers donned to escape the law. He dispels rumors, examines poisoned bones, and unravels elaborate schemes. As he rises through the ranks, the cases grow more complicated, and the undercurrents hidden beneath the waterways of Jiangnan gradually come to the surface.
