Thirty years ago, a group of scientists tore open the gap between the two universes. The experiment code-named "Expanding the Boundary" did not usher in a miracle, leaving only the remnants of anomalies all over the country: flowing corpses, fog that can rewrite memories, and neighborhoods where death repeats itself. Officials sealed them as "marginal incidents" and established the Edge Anomaly Investigation Bureau (EID), which only blocked them but did not explain them. Twenty-seven-year-old Lu Chen is a survivor of that experiment and the youngest researcher at EID. His daily life is to work as an assistant to a sixty-two-year-old lunatic - Su Yan, who was the author of the boundary expansion formula, but now relies on "hedging" to suppress his own changes. Su Yan said that Lu Chen's body contained the living coordinates left behind by that experiment. Behind the strange cases that are unrelated to each other are all fragments of the same cosmic game: the mirror universe is collapsing, and the other party is using the cracks to plunder our time and space. And all "special abilities" come with a price - backlash, loss of control, forgetfulness, there is no free power. When Lu Chen saw the blue light at his fingertips for the first time, he suddenly understood: he was not here to investigate the abnormality. He is the last coordinate left from that experiment.
