Four Hundred Outside the Mountain, Forty Inside the Mountain

Deep in the Yunyin Mountains, Chonglou is the medicinal material that the villagers rely on to survive. Shen Muzhi, the owner of a second-hand bookstore, came here carrying a tragedy from his past and witnessed the whole village being taken over by a pharmaceutical company, locking up his living space. Emergency doctor Su Yanqiu abides by his father's last wish and does not want to see the villagers being wantonly exploited. The two entered the game side by side, not relying on charity-style redemption, but tearing apart the information barriers of capital with a battle of wits. Amidst the tension of contradictions, the old man who stubbornly adheres to ancient laws, the peasant woman who struggles to survive, and the vacillating technicians appear in turn. There is no savior from heaven, no mountain can save people, no one can save people in the world, only hands can grow from the bones. Ordinary people in Yunyin and Qinghe villages break free from their shackles and find a way to survive on their own.
