After I Refused to Be His Bedchamber Maid, the Cold, Proud Heir Went Mad

[A money-minded, runaway office drone of a maid vs. a possessive, unhinged heir who insists on claiming her] On her first day as a maid in the Yongning Marquis's estate, Gu Zhaoyun, an office drone, has a one-night stand with a mysterious man. She treats it like getting bitten by a dog, then puts it behind her and forgets all about it. She only wants to save enough money to buy her freedom and run away, but somehow the heir, who seems every inch a refined gentleman, sets his sights on her. From subtle hints to blatant advances, then publicly declaring his claim on her: "Future Marchioness, you can't escape." Gu Zhaoyun: Thanks, but I really just want to clock out.
